We are our own masters, sailors, and ship. We value independence and creative freedom. No one tells us what to do or pays us; in fact, it’s quite the opposite – we invest our own private money into this venture. Of course, this project is an investment for us, and we hope for commercial success, but on our own terms. Let the market, that is, you – the players, be the judge.
Absolutely not! We have made sure that our project does not promote or favor any specific political views or beliefs. PIG is a satirical game featuring jokes about politics and pop culture. It was created by a group of light-hearted individuals who want to enjoy life and treat everything depicted in the game with that same approach.
Mechanically, PIG is an accessible game suitable for party play, but also quite challenging to master. Our main goal was to combine solid, innovative, and tactical mechanics with satire. We want players to stretch their minds, test their skills, and either roll on the floor laughing or open their mouths in surprise during the game.
Absolutely not! We are a group of laid-back board game enthusiasts who have put our hearts into this project. Our dream is to continue developing and supporting PIG as long as players desire it and enjoy the new content in the game.
No, while designing the game, we made sure to maintain a balance between factions, ensuring that no political side is overlooked or favored. In PIG, every side has an equal chance of winning as well as an equal chance of being ridiculed!
We are free people and we are not afraid to speak and create what is in our hearts. We believe in freedom of speech and artistic expression. Our game is a satire – an art form in which we express ourselves.
To play PIG you don’t really need to know anything. We’re not screwing with you, gameplay is easy to learn and enjoyable on its own. That said, catching the jokes, Easter eggs, and references will definitely take the fun to the next level. But even if those fly over your head, you’re still in for a great time.
What a ridiculous question! PIG is a classic “easy to learn, hard to master” game. The basic rules can be explained and grasped in just 10 minutes. It’s intuitive, accessible to casual players, and offers enough depth to keep board game veterans fully engaged.
We want our game to be released in several of the most popular languages. The list of supported languages will be available on the crowdfunding campaign website. However, in the absence of a native language version, we believe that even an average knowledge of English is enough to play PIG. The texts on the cards are written in rather simple vocabulary, as well as the instructions, which, regardless of demand, we will make available in PDF format in all popular language variants.
That’s just crazy talk! Absolutely not! The basic game set is sufficient to provide a highly satisfying PIG experience. The Starter Set is fully playable on its own and allows for comfortable gameplay for up to 4 players. Optional expansions only extend the possibilities, offering more combinations and interactions between cards and players, but they are not strictly necessary. Of course, we would be delighted if you decide to purchase them 😉
Our game can only be played by 2 or 4 people. In the 4-player mode, participants form two teams, whose members should cooperate and communicate with each other. They must strategize together and manage their shared life points if they want to defeat their opponents.
PIG is rather intended for older players. We believe that due to the controversial topics covered on the cards, it should be played by people aged 16+. Such individuals will also better understand the references to history, politics, pop culture, and our somewhat boomer humor.
It all depends. In a 1 vs 1 game, it lasts from 15 minutes to about 1 hour. The duration is influenced by various factors: from familiarity with the game, through deck types, to the balance of the match. Accordingly, in a 4-player game, the time extends, and an average game should last from 30 to 90 minutes.
A few years ago, we created our first, much smaller game intended exclusively for the Polish market, so this is not our maiden venture in the world of board games. This experience gave us valuable knowledge, taught us how to avoid rookie mistakes, and provided the financial foundation to try our hand at a big international crowdfunding project like PIG.
From the very beginning, PIG has been developed in collaboration with players. All ideas and suggestions from the community (even the most absurd or wacky ones) are thoughtfully considered. Our great dream is for the game to live on and be widely discussed in online enthusiast groups. So follow us on social media, and better yet, join the PIG group to share your ideas and contribute to the creation of this game.
