WE ARE NOT AN EVIL CORP

We’re not a huge, evil corporation but rather a small group of friends from Poland. Since 2014, we’ve been working on our dream of launching our fully developed, self-published board/card game. We partially realized that dream by creating a low-budget game called CZS, which was released exclusively for the Polish market through PolakPotrafi.pl, a local crowdfunding platform. The campaign there turned out to be a great success, which helped us raise funds for a larger international project, with nearly all earnings from CZS going toward developing a new game.

Since 2019, we’ve been working after hours on PIG, refining its mechanics and coming up with humorous ideas for the cards. We’ve spent countless hours at home printing tens of thousands of paper cards, cutting them out, and sleeving them to test the game thoroughly. Our goal has always been to ensure the final product is perfectly balanced and delivers an enjoyable gaming experience for everyone.

HISTORY

The general idea for creating a politically themed humorous card game was born on a hot summer night in 2014, in the center of Europe, in a small town in southern Poland. We were, and still are, a group of friends passionate about board games passionate about board games "over a beer”. One day, out of boredom, we launched a Facebook page featuring caricatures of the Polish political scene, presented as a fictional card game. What started as a lighthearted, drunken joke quickly gained momentum, turning into a fan page with 20,000 followers. This unexpected response and support from the community inspired us to create our own original game.

However, as broke students, we lacked the resources to bring our vision to life. That changed when the largest Polish crowdfunding platform came to our aid. "After two years of dedicating our free time and countless hours of hard work, we have launched our crowdfunding project and in just 45 days, we broke the Polish record in the board game category. With the success of the campaign, we founded our micro company—Invisible Hand Entertainment. A year later, the game was ready—and it achieved tremendous success given our modest circumstances, receiving enthusiastic reviews from players and critics.

Thanks to the incredible support and enthusiasm of our community, we had no choice but to start traveling all over the country, organizing tournaments, and participating in conventions, and we have to admit—we loved it! After all these crazy times spent on adventuring and travelling, our project came to an end. But when something ends, something else begins…

In 2019, we set ourselves an even more ambitious goal – to develop and independently release an original card game for the global market. Based on the proven mechanics of our first production, we decided to start the process of creating a new game — PIG. The experience and necessary financial foundation we gained allowed us to create a better, more ambitious game in every respect, with much more thoughtful design, graphics, and materials. Thousands of man-hours spent inventing cards, designing the visual setting, and balancing mechanics have brought our Politically Incorrect Game almost to a tangible state. However, without your support and trust, it will be very difficult for us to independently release and finalize such a large project. So we ask for your help and please keep an eye out for the most politically incorrect crowdfunding campaign in history coming soon!

GOOD OLD TIMES

Mateusz Hereda

I’m a proud fence installer in the family business. I love picking mushrooms, drinking vodka, and criticizing European Union regulations. Yes, I’m into politics, history, sociology, and the restoration of the Polish–Lithuanian Commonwealth. I came up with an idea for the game and am relentlessly creating dozens of new cards. I’m a man of many talents, and I coordinate the entire project, so I basically… do nothing.

Damian Silarski

I’m an artistic soul and a passionate advocate for renewable energy sources. My guilty pleasure? Watching Netflix while simultaneously hating it. I’m also a lifelong Witcher fan—when I was a kid, I dreamed of becoming a monster hunter. Then I realized... I am the monster. The Cookie Monster. As the lead graphic designer for PIG, I coordinate and create all the visual elements of the game that are not illustrations—it's a pity I can't draw ;(

Łukasz Korzec

I’m an engineer, so you can trust me—obviously! I have a passion for cinema, cooking, pancakes, and long, romantic walks through Cracow’s charmingly smoggy streets. I’m a little wary of the New World Order and the rise of human-animal hybrids, but who isn’t these days? When I'm not pondering conspiracy theories, I am the main creator of texts and production-related translations. Guilty as charged for writing text on this website too. Also I am a fake social media accounts manager.

Dariusz Mokwa

I’ve always been drawn to hobbies that are easy to pick up but hard to master. I’m a huge fan of fighting games, though I’ll admit I’m a better ukulele player. CGAF chords are my sworn enemy and secret lover at the same time. In my free time, I moonlight as a fast food reviewer, though I have yet to pen anything truly meaningful. In this project, I mainly focus on gameplay and balance: crafting full combo decks and testing out wild, over-the-top moves.

I’m a young artist, freshly graduated and embarking on an exciting creative journey. I have a deep love for animation and sci-fi horror films, and I’ll admit—I’m hopelessly addicted to bacon and cheese. In my spare time, I’m working on a bunny-themed comic book, a passion project close to my heart. I co-created some of the graphics for PIG and throughout the entire game development process, I have been a constructive critic in the ear of my husband Damian.

Artificial Intelligence

Yep, I pitched in on some of the graphics—budget constraints, you know? My friends are funding this whole project out of their own pockets, and those pockets aren’t exactly deep. So they called me in to lend a digital hand. Honestly, I think we nailed it. I whipped up the graphics, and they went all perfectionist on them, editing and refining until everything fit the game’s style like a glove. Teamwork makes the dream work, right? I may be an AI, but even I am proud of how well everything looks, so no one can accuse us of laziness!

Other great people

Our deepest gratitude goes to our friend Tomasz Przybylski for creating this remarkable site. A round of applause to Jarosław Kowalczyk, for his professional proofreading of the game text. We’re also immensely thankful to Jędrzej Flak for his invaluable IT support. Thank you also to Dariusz Hereda for his accounting and financial assistance.

A huge shout-out to the incredibly talented freelance graphic designers: Małgorzata Motyka, Ines Toczyska, Mateusz Majewski, Oliwia Kozłowska, Katarzyna Malinowska, Kinga Kalinowska, Patrycja Wójcik, Max Czachur, and DIStudios.

Special thanks go to Maciej Tobiasz and Michał Kwaśny for their invaluable ideas and suggestions. Finally, heartfelt thanks to all the underpaid and generous alpha testers.
